Orinda Cares Buddy Project

Glorietta students learned about the impact of the Camp Fires on students at Ponderosa Elementary in Paradise CA and helped create Peace Kits to support them.  Working with their buddies, students personalized notes and drawings to include with the tools for mindfulness and resiliency in a canvas bag that will be delivered to all the students at Ponderosa Elementary .

Our own Glorietta parent, Tanuka Gordon with Mindful Littles, helped organize and lead the Orinda Cares collaborative effort with the district.  Glorietta parents and School Board members Liz Daoust and Hillary Weiner along with a host of other volunteers helped make the 2 days of effort a success!  It was a moving and meaningful experience of compassion and caring for others.
